The nature of this post was to aid Ben in promoting his efforts to give something back to the people who have supported and embraced him after his 'past mis-demeanours'.

Most people have made short positive remarks, yet you thoughtfully chose to pen a negative reply. At least Hull fans who dispise Ben usually do so with off the cuff remarks!

so what dont you agre with in Vastmans post? He's shown in the past he can go dramatically off the rails, but seems to have turned it around. He is prone to brain explosions so enjoy him while we can! Long may his good behaviour continue.

I'm not judging him, or if I am I'm being very lenient - though you are clearly judging me. That's a shame because I always was and still am fairly supportive of Ben and see him as something of an asset. You on the other hand seem hell bent on arguing with anyone who takes a balanced view, and by that I mean accepts the bad as well as the good.



Normally I'd just dismiss you as someone who is incapable of reading and understanding a post, however I'm willing to give you the benefit and allow you some time to reconsider.

Ha, just read it back and it could be read two ways

I spoke with Ben the other day about his Herbalife and fitness ventures - he was very open about his past indiscretions and described himself in fairly colourful language; he also said that he's keen to make amends and turn his life, and people's perceptions of him, around.



I'm also told that he's making himself useful around the club, helping out the younger players and doing his bit in the community - I even saw him on Twitter the other night scheming to get Herbalife as a WTW sponsor.



He'll always have done what he did, but he does seem to be making a genuine attempt to reform himself - long may it continue.

What as happend as happend, Ben is getting on with his life and doing many good things, its a shame others can not, and leave the past as the past

Ben is a credit to our club/team/fans and community, and long may it continue

That is exactly what I said apart from the fact that I didn't attempt to absolve him of any blame or whitewash his past out of existence.

The bit I was wrong about was his potential negative influence on the club - it hasn't happened, so I was wrong. Hard to believe I know, given my usual infallibility, but there you go.
