Fully agree here. Even though he's well past his pomp, he'd still make a great captain and leader for any Super League club, including us.

Wigan are very much living off past glories. That said Hastings could be a game changer if and it’s a huge if, he fits in.

They've actually won it three times in the last 7 years. That's not my point. Wigan is a top team but not the team or the club they once were IMO. For example, they won the title in 2016, the same season we beat them 62-0, that was not the Wigan of the glory days.



Try looking in the history books and you'll spot the past glories to which I refer.

No team can dominate the way Wigan did in the 80s/90s because of the salary cap, the cap has brought the quality down that much that pretty much every club has a genuine shot at reaching the top 5, it’s made it more competitive but certainly not better quality

No it didn't it took all the best players to one club proving back then there was just a hand full of quality players since then you had to resort to cheating back in 2006 to keep in super league as you was destined to go down bit like Leeds did the last few seasons

Not quite sure what your point is exactly but if you’re trying to say the quality hasn’t got down then you’re a fool, just because your precious Wakefield have a shot at the top 5 doesn’t mean they’ve become world beaters all of a sudden, every team last season apart from saints were crap, yet the same teams win the league every year which shows the current cap isn’t working, it should be lifted to 3m and if you’ve got the money to spend you’ll probably win

I’m not saying the league was crap because we didn’t win anything, the league has been poor for 5 years now and she won plenty in that time, as for our finances, you worry about your own, Wakefield will go bust long before Wigan

Give over every team has caught you up and now your bleating, the cap has levelled the league so it has worked, not all want to play for the mighty wigan, I do agree the cap should increase but in reflection to inflation so it keeps control
