Its not the fact he is looking for another job, we know he has been doing that since last season, it is the fact he has decided 2 weeks before decision day to make a public announcment of his interest in the Cas job - a job which he isn't going to get either. The timing and nature of this announcement kicks the club whilst it is down IMO.

What a load of tosh. If the club want Kear offer him a contract. The club was heading for the rocks by mid 2010, you don't think Kear new that. Yet you somehow expect him to not look after his own interests. Sorry but he should have kept his powder dry for now. Yes he's probably off and wants to look at his options but to come out and openly state you would like to join your clubs nearest rivals, the one that the club is up against for a licence, two weeks before the announcement, is i'm afraid pretty poor form. What he does behind the scenes is up to him but in public he should have kept his trap shut.

It'd be interesting to know what questions were actually asked in the interview before we judge his responses too harshly. I agree with you though that the diplomatic answer to any prodding about "what will you do if Wakefield don't get a franchise?" would be to say "wait and see what happens first".

Cant blame him for looking for work. After all, we all have bills to pay, however, his timing is unacceptable.

He may have gone public to try and lever AG into offering a new contract at Wakey, but this is poor form.

Why should he have kept his powder dry? he has nothing to lose and everything to gain, he knows he is out of work at the end of the season, so he doesnt care about how this looks for us, like i said the love affair is over.
