| I completely agree with previous posts.
Agar has to show some effective man management and keep the squad motivated. Picking Aiton who is not 100% fit and if he's not trained all week could have a damaging effect on the morale of those pressing a claim for the 9 jersey such as Ellis and Wildie. It could also lead to Aiton missing games we can win such as Cas. He must also make effective use of the bench and play all of the bench rather than Walshaw getting no game time.
I think there is something in the suggestion that Agar did not sign Ellis so favours others more. Ellis could be injured who knows? I'd like to see the OPTA stats for all our players, does anyone know how to access them?
With the pitches getting dryer and faster there could be the option of playing Ellis (a former centre) at 9, Aiton at 13 with Wood on the bench to cover 6,7,9 positions along with Washbrook on the bench. Hope Trout and Walshaw get serious game time this week and not just part of the 19.

Defence isn't just about how you defend your line. Huddersfield only got into our 20 when we gifted them the field position. Our defence did a fine job of restricting the metres they made in possession when bringing the ball out of their own half.

| Quote TRB="TRB"It seems that Agar wants to stick with his 'senior' players come hell or high water. This appears to be at the expense of other players in the squad.
JK made the mistake of trying to rush back senior players when they had been out injured, often at the expense of younger players who had been doing the buisness in their place - this ultimately ended up with JK being taken to task by the players and a change in policy installed.
The modern game is about the squad. We have probably had the most consistent run of games with the same players that we have seen for years (with only Amor suffering any kind of serious injury) - and with little to show for it. Meanwhile, there are players pushing for more game time whilst 'senior' players are running at less than 100% fit. Agar might be intent on getting his 'senior' players to gel - what is doing to the state of mind of those in the wings is anyone's guess, but if Wildie and/or Ellis come in to see the coaching staff to ask to be allowed to move (even on loan) in order to get some game time, who could blame them?
Very disappointed with the selection of Collis and Aiton.
'" i'd agree with agar. the only way the senior players are going to gel is if you give them consistency and keep them playing. as for ellis ,, don't think he has fully recovered yet

For a completely new team playing against the likes of Hudds in the form they are in I think our defense has looked very promising!

Our points difference would indicate that you're right; we're not quite clicking in attack, but our we're hard to beat - the Cas v Shudds result last night puts our performance against them into perspective.
