I'm pretty sure he talked about retiring last season and decided to do it for one more season this season.

Can keep it as a nickname without it being part of our proper name. That's the compromise, and perfect solution.

The problem is Snowie, most of the young folk coming to games quite like the "Wildcat" thing.

It's the older fans (myself included) that prefer "Trinity".

I can't imagine many supporters over 10, 14 at the most, like the Wildcats name. I can see the appeal to young kids but as people get older they move on from childish knicknames. Keep the mascot, but revert to Trinity. No costly rebrand required, it already exists.

If we were to ditch Wildcats then we wouldn't exactly be turning our backs on a great period of our history though would we?

As I said a few days ago, a rebrand should and will be at the very bottom of MC's to-do list, even if it's on there at all.



There are much bigger issues to resolve before even thinking about pandering to the old farts by dropping the Wildcats moniker.
