| It's been a blast !
This team have surpassed all expectations, especially when you think back to where we were 2 months ago and the support from the fans has been fantastic.
Ok, we did pull up a bit short last night but, assuming we have only a small amount of changes in the squad for next season, thing look really good for next season.
Well done boys and respect to Agar and Glover

| It was a great effort by the lads cant blow your chances in a cup tie and we did and we will learn from it Like Sykes but we need a quality stand off and a bit more pace in the centres
Not far away and on another night we could have won the game breaker was Washbrooks error score then and Leeds are on the back foot and game on but I cant knock the lad hes being great all season
Poor turn out by the fickle Leeds fans

| Well played last night Wakefield. Shame Collis didn't get his pass off or it could have swung the game back.

| Yup, well played Wakey. It may be no consolation, but you played better than at least two of the teams that made it to the first round of play offs.

| Cracking effort. Can't fault the effort.
Smith excellent, defence for 60 mins excellent. Somebody please tell me Ellis was injured and that's why he didn't come back on?? They didn't score with him on field I don't think??
Burrows did us. We couldn't get near him out of acting half, that and Watkins breaking tackles at will.
Anyhow, irrelevant of all that, great effort. Far exceeded expectation.
Proud to be Wakey!!!

| Unlucky Wakey - you can be proud of your team, not just for the last game, but the 7 before it. You have plenty to look forward to next season - all the best.

| Absolutely outstanding effort by Wakefield, the game basically went down to the fact that Leeds had more star power and more game changing individuals than us. Every-time Kallum Watkins touched the ball, Lee Smith didn't have a clue how to defend against him and ended up on his backside, poor Ben Cockayne was then left by himself against Watkins, Jones-Bishop and Burrow on two occasions and he didn't have a chance.
In my opinion, Danny Cowling would be a preferred centre instead of Lee Smith - he is much quicker and better in defence (as seen against St Helens) and he would be a nice addition from the youth system....i can't remember if we have signed Lee Smith permanently? but if not then i hope he goes back to Leeds. Richie Mathers, Ben Cockayne and Peter Fox impressed massively under the high ball as that has been our weak point this season and it was a delight to see them jump confidently and almost with ease against the likes of Ryan Hall and Ben Jones-Bishop.
The Rhinos couldn't handle the connection between Tim Smith and Danny Washbrook/Frankie Mariano, they broke tackles every time they took on the line and on 2-3 occasions made a clean break and that is where I believe we are much stronger than Leeds as they rely on the pace and aggression of their young backs - Jones-Buchanan, Peacock, Ablett, Delany and co. don't have the power and precision that our forwards have....although it did constantly get me out of my seat that we didn't stop Peacock offloading!
Yet all in all i'm not going to be a bitter Wakefield fan and say we were cheated or the referee blew us the game as Leeds' tries were mostly off the back of our mistakes and IF Washbrook would have made that pass....who knows, we may all be celebrating. Brilliant season and effort by all the players and staff, looking forward to the 2013 season!

This is something that i commented on, Ellis for me offers far more to the team and we look more structured with him on, his defense is also much better than Woods, but Agar seems to rate Woods highly.
But alas I think there won't be a place for Ellis when Aiton is fit again, and probably will be moved on.
Overall been delighted with the second half of the season, but looking from the outside the treatmeat of Ellis has'nt been great.

Hope Ellis is still here as he offers something from acting half that neither Aiton or Wood offer and that is quick and accurate distribution. No coincidence that our winning run included Ellis back in the team. May sound harsh on Wood, but I would have Aiton/Ellis as first choice next season

| Quote kinleycat="kinleycat"Enormously proud of the boys, more than I ecpected this season.
We weren't beaten, sadly we beat ourselves.
Congratulations to the rhinos they did what they had to; they are a champion side.
We've had a taste of what's to come a year ahead of time IMO.
Anything negative I've said about RA and JE Fir employing him i humbly take back, in defeat I am very proud to be a Wakefield fan and to have stood amongst so many wonderful fans all season home and away.
Can't wait for 2012.
WTID!!!!!'"
Yes I've already eaten my humble pie once or twice on here. Didn't see this coming but I am not proud and would rather be eating the humble pie than moaning about crap performances. What we have achieved this last 1/3 of the season is one of the biggest achievements in my time watching Trinity, so well done one and all
