not sure if any of you have seen the article in the League Weekly
The article states the Mr Glover is talking to the owners about purchasing Bellevue however the agents are touting the ground around saying it is for sale as from Dec 11 when wakeys £2k per week lease expires.
Quote "this is in no way connected with the future of the rugby club who are making alternative arrangements" "depending on outcome of licence outcome wakey will definitely be playing at the Rams stadium next year if they are in the championship"

Superleague will be remaining at 14 clubs, take that as read. The money just isn't there for an expansion, the new TV deal is not sufficient to facilitate it. Throw in the fact that the RFL have no desire to remove the magic weekend from the calender and it won't work with 15 teams and so somebody has to go down, unless someone goes bust (or requests relegation) first. Whilst Wakey are still very much favourites to go the RFL were impressed with the clubs application and it is not a foregone conclusion anymore. A month is a long time in RL worldand theres still time for a twist yet.  |

There is some truth in that as I know that agents have been touting the ground for sale as someone I know has received the information pack. Dont know what its up for sale at though. |
