| When Clawson signed in september 2011 it was quoted at the time that he had signed a 3 year deal. I'm guessing he must have signed an extension for this season, how long for was never reported. Gilmour was reported as signing a contract until the end if 2016. Whether they can be just terminated or not depends on what is in the contract, but i'd be very surprised to see it happen. Hudson & Dickens both joined at the end of 2012 and there was no length of time mentioned but going by the others i'd hazard a guess they also have contracts. Carter doesn't seem the sacking kind to me, i doubt he will be getting rid of anybody before the end of the season.

| Think I read on here that Hudson has done a decent job (one of the few at the club to do so) in his role with scouting young players. I'd look to shift Clawson Dickens and Gilmour before him.

| I have a feeling Smith will be rooting out some bad apples in the dressing room first.

| Quote Scarlet Pimpernell="Scarlet Pimpernell"The lad is the first I have seen who has the physique and pace to make it. [uI know he made mistakes[/u but that was more to do with him trying too hard.
I am certain he will be very much in demand with the usual suspects monitoring the situation.'"
He made one mistake and that was the Shenton try, he allowed himself to be caught off balance allowing Shenton to come inside of him brushing him aside instead of making him go on the outside where he has the physique, strength and the speed to have put him where he should have been, into the advertising hoardings, other than that he can't be blamed for his team mates defensive frailties but then again it's easier to blame it on the winger.

| Johnstone has got the pace and confidence to make a very good winger. Let's just hope he doesn't get muscled up to the point of not being able to run.

It's the Wakey thing squire, I would just like to correct you on a little matter though, he is a good player already, but in time he will be a very good player

He got completely exposed by the turds outside him moving across with no intensity or desire whatsoever. To attack him out of all the players on that pitch says more about the initial poster than Johnstone

Think you'll find that most of the grown ups rate Johnstone very highly and have been calling for his inclusion in the team for some time.

| Can't believe the OP.
Tom Johnstone has played 5 games this season. Missed 11 tackles. Made 36 Tackles
Tackles:
Wigan - Missed 2 / Made 5
Saints - Missed 1 / Made 9
Kr - Missed 1 / Made 12
Widnes - Missed 1 / Made 3
Castleford - Missed 6 / Made 7
The kid has 1 fairly rough game in defence and you start slating him?
It would help if his wasn't stood 30 yards in from the touch line leaving him with numerous defenders to tackle.

| The OP has a long history of overblown reactions and singling out individual players.
In this instance, Johnstone provided the only point in the match that made me stand up and shout for the team - he never gave up on that try and took it superbly well; a brilliant moment for a young lad who has a bright future - but probably not at Wakefield - Shudds, Leeds et al will have taken notice. He was on the spot for some defensive howlers, but was badly let down by the people around him. As for the Shenton brush-off - that is his trademark and he does it to much better players on a weekly basis, so no shame in that.
Plenty of so-called senior players have plenty to be embarrassed about - Johnstone however, can probably look himself squarely in the eye.
