Cowling isn't 16/17 yrs old. He's a 6ft 2 inch tall, 20 year old bloke and must be getting near to his physical peak. Doncaster coach said recently

“He’s 6ft 2in and a strong runner and has got good pace and he’ll be a useful acquisition....."



Good effort RA even if he struggles a bit with the pace he needs game time, hope he hits them hard and scores a try

Well he has to have a go sometime and yes it would be nice in a pre season friendly but if hes good enough what does it matter who its against.Hes on home ground and one thing I will say is lets not get on his back if he makes a slip with his first touch.The one good thing is Saints wont know of any areas he is not confident/or good in.

If you want to make any judgement about Morton or any other of our u20s then why not make the effort and get down to Belle Vue for the u20's. Admission is free! (for members) you will not be disapointed. The turn out against Cas u20's (curtainraiser) was embarrassing but still the lads still produced the goods(Morton included).

Cowling has been playing well for us as has Russ Spiers as well, and I can only thank the Wakefield staff for allowing Danny and Russ to come on Dual Reg to Donny and help us achieve our goal of promotion which is what has happened

Lets hope the deal works out for both clubs in the future.

Really looking forward to watching Dan make is debut, watched him since he was about 8 years old, he is a tough kid.

Big steps today Danny, well done

Amazing performance from Cowling... some great tackling, composed in attacking situations. Did not get rush to the head. Potential game changer getting Flannery into touch and keeping strong meli in the in goal to get another set of 6.

What he said....excellent performance Danny...you did yourself proud, lad...

Though Cowling was crap today, poor defence, poor in attack., couldn't tackle a good dinner. (just in case Uncle Ken from Huddersfield is watching

Cowling had a tough debut against a saints side hell bent on playing expansive rugby. The lad stood up well, definitely one for the future.

Imho there is never a better time to bring in young players than when the team is playing with such confidence and has such momentum. It can only help the likes of Cowling as he will forever be associated with a great win. He's pretty much there now so long as he wants it.
