Smith hasn't been anywhere near his best for over a year now, and even before that he was inconsistent. But unfortunately we have few options at scrum half with Godinet seemingly miles away from being fully fit.



Locke will be a big loss for the Bradford game, Its putting massive pressure on Jowett at such an early stage in his career. Although I do like him and hope he makes the number 1 shirt his own from next season.

Maybe I didn't word it very well. I'm not in any way suggesting that we can afford to go down. My feeling however is that the local lads have much more desire to play for the shirt than we've seen from a lot of the senior players. I think they'd put more effort in than some to whom Wakey is just another job, not THEIR club.

There are text comments between them saying goodbye and use a reference of #ukfamily2015 Once you've found that then let us know if you think Locke is still here.

I cannot understand the silence from the club if they have cancelled the contracts by mutual consent then say so if not then say so but just to say "I have no idea where he is ". We may not know but I am sure all the other clubs will so we are not gaining from keeping it a secret from the Wakefield supporters.

I really couldn't give a monkeys where the two clowns are. Brian Smith will, like last week, pick his best team from the players available and I'll be there to cheer them on.

I know firing people is difficult enough even when clear lines have been crossed so I guess the club has more reason to get it absolutely right. Keeping Scarlet Pimpernel in the loop might be taking a back seat at present.

I note that the charge is against Smith for careless driving and failing to provide a specimen which has the same outcome just a slightly different conviction code. I cannot see any charges being levied against Locke but as you say the club knows best as they have shown over the season.

Not seen the thing on Facebook but he's recently put a video on Instagram saying he's back home with his son, so yeah seems he's gone.
