Regarding the players personal standards, I agree they should have pride in what they do but, there appears to be a total lack of professionalism within the whole squad including the back room room staff. Everything is slow, and lethargic with a "couldn't care less" attitude about it. Lets hope there s a total change in attitudes and outlooks from the beginning of Smith's reign, we need some pride and passion putting back into the team first and then hopefully some structure and organisation in our performances.

I’d have though seven weeks is long enough to get this lot into a cohesive unit, but I fear quite a few are already dreaming of pastures new for next year.



It’s a big task, some think it’s insurmountable, but based on fairly recent history, staying up against all the odds is a good as it gets, for the long suffering fools who continue with this humiliating obsession.



Is it doable? Of course it is.

cant imagine a man who doesn't know the name of our players would ever be able to start a business or even hold down a job for that matter.

I suppose you can only hope that in the case of these players the chance to play under a genuinely recognised Coach may sway the - you'd hope.

Not sure I would expect a player to 'know' how to get fit to the required standard, that's why we need a competent conditioner

Surely those players who have played thousands of games between them under various coaches and conditioners know if they are in the best physical shape they could be?!! If they feel that the pre season, and current fitness and conditioning isn't/hasn't been right then surely they should have said something?!

Really, give over - maybe the younger ones but the older ones, of course they do.



Andy Mason used to self condition before every match and that was in the days when conditioners were a hair care product.



I wouldn't expect them to refine it to the absolute perfection but I'd expect the basic levels.



Odd this, because we looked fit enough under Clawson two seasons ago - just makes you wonder because it has to be more than one person and one issue that's destroying us.

I think this year some of our players have been quite happy to take the easier option to their fitness/condition and there doesn't seem to have been anyone on their backs making them improve.

It just so happens that the son of Brian Smith is qualified in the art - but is currently employed by Gold Coast Titans.

Shame Smith juniors aren't coming over too, without doubt something is needed to get us fitter and current set up isn't doing it.
