| Quote Scarlet Pimpernell="Scarlet Pimpernell"When you make an offer that any player can leave then that's what will happen even if they may not be one you were thinking of or hoping for. It is sometimes better to refrain from commenting after a coach leaves and let his replacement make the decisions.
We are now entering the important part of the season with three centres (4 if you count Ryan) two wingers and two full backs. That is not a lot of cover which makes the recent decision even more stupid.
I know our rose tinted brigade will not see a problem and will consider it a positive but I am afraid the only good part is that we will help our accounts by saving on salaries. We might end up relegated but we will at least have a slightly bigger bank balance.'"
what's that old saying you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink,
I kind of understand where your coming from but we have to have players wanting to stay and battle not just go through the motions, damned if you do damned if you don't

| Yep, I'd rather have a player of less quality but wanted to play for the club than a better one who for whatever reason was wanting out.
Collis, Paea, Sammat(?) And Hall(?). With those four gone it would certainly allows to scope to bring in a few.

| Get two utility 3/4s and a big prop if they all went.

Is there any within this article that would be willing to come over to play for the lowly Wildcats in Super League and have a real impact? Centre wise Joey Leilua and prop Siosaia Vave would be great but probably not realistic?

Sandow will be looking for the marquee player pay out so clubs like Salford, Warrington and Leeds may be interested but can't see him coming to Trinity. Trinity lack aggression and real go forward impact type players so need those types rather than another play maker IMHO costing a small fortune.

As I said, could be very similar to Jamie Soward who found himself a free agent mid NRL season and came over to play for lowly London then moved on to a bigger club and a better contract. I doubt very much that in the initial article announcing Sowards release from St George that it suggested somewhere that he'd go play for London, yet that's what he did.

While I would not for one minute argue with any of your post, I would just point out that lowly London had and probably still do have the spending power to attract such as Soward short term, although I would not rule out a similar move for Sandow I doubt our accountant finding the cash for him, tbh a man with his talent won't have a problem getting a new club in the NRL next season.

Similar kinds of player. Both can win you a game but both are capable of losing you a game.

Chris Sandow is available?'"
Hell of a player with the ball in his hand, although defensively he makes Tim Smith look like a tackling machine!!
We must have some space available as Collis was i believe one of our top earners. With him & Paea gone, Sammut apparently close and also Craig Hall rumoured to now be very interested in speaking to a Championship team, we must be able to move for someone. Using out and out guesswork, i would predict atleast £20 to £25k a month in wages saved there??

| Don`t think Sammut going to Workington free up much cash. There is no way they will be anyway near matching his wages, so will either have make him a one of payment or subsidize his wages.
