Credit where it's due, Mr Agar has indeed coached the team in to the last 2 wins with basically the same team, has moved players in to different positions and motivated/installed confidence in others, also think some credit needs to go to Mathers as his organisation on the field has been very good in the last couple of games, is he now carrying the captains armband?

| Another thing I noticed about Sykes yesterday; after complaining that we don't shepherd the man who's tracking the high ball, Sykes did exactly that several times, so contributed to our much improved kick defence.
I suppose that's his experience showing.

| Just as a correction for what some seem to be suggesting on these boards, Sykes did not kick both 40-20s, he kicked the first, Smith the second.
back to topic, yes Sykes is certainly fitting nicely into the jigsaw, sign him up! NOW!

| We Sykes fitting in at stand off were does this leave John? I can't see him getting much game time on current form, Is he on a fixed 3 year deal?

You still need back up, despite what some seem to think we have been very lucky with injuries so far.

I've also noticed how well he has organised the defence. Certainly leads by example and has earned the respect of the players.

| re Sykes he is bound to be great at a pivot role as he is from Thornhill as per Dave & Paul March and Danny Brough plus they are all useful goalkickers, must be something in the water up there !

Just about to say the same when I read the comment about shipping him out on dual reg.

| In no way wishing to dismiss what Sykes has done at SO I haven't seen anything so significant to make me think he is a must keep in that position. He's done ok but no more than that imo. He can kick 40/20's whilst at centre
