I know what you are saying but with a scrum half in the season not saying now maybe a aussie thats unhappy get him for the rest of the season we would create all sorts of damage and would be contenders on our day without a scrum half we aint going to win anything this season.

Totally agree with this, also wouldnt mind looking at menzie yere from sheffield along with young fijian arron groom, been injured of late but wouldnt mind trying to get them as cant imagine either would take much persuasion or money?????

I'm sure King John has a plan in mind.

With the amount of young talent coming through what we need to do is keep on building our faith within that, adding players of proven quality to compliment the local talent which is doing us proud (and the key to any sustainable sports club).

In terms of the no.7 role what i think we need to do is 2 fold.

1. Look for a no.7 of proven quality for 2011 (ideally no older than 26/27).

2. Sign the best young no.7's in our district, who will be mentored by the proven no.7 we bring in.



With the success rate of the youngsters breaking into and establishing themselves within our first team i can imagine the prospect of signing for WTW a very attractive prospect for local whiz kids. We have become very astute at signing the best youth in the district since the arrival of King John.

The production of your own players is the sign of a healthy franchise, and will look great for us come this time next year.

i dont always agree with you ngb4c, and sometimes i do see where your comming from mate, but from where i looking i would say a prop and centre are more important to us than a new scrum half, think jefferies at stand off, obst at scrum half and cooke to loose would work, with latu and davey as hookers, it all about opinions tho mate at the end of the day we all support same team and only want us to have success i guess, lets hope mr kear can sort it .

sorry but Sam Obst is not a scrum half his distribution and decision making from hooker isn't the best. He is a fantastic scampering hooker but no organiser.
