Rumour that the league has now stated that you need 2 touchline managers (different to liassion) at every game, if not present then fixture cancelled

One of our blokes is going on a training course(!) tonight to learn all about it . We've asked for volunteers for crigg u 10's and the silence is defening , doesn't look like we'll be playing that often

There is an over 35's comp on Sunday at Stanley Rangers from 12 til 3. Teams taking part - i believe - are Stanley, Cas Panthers, Lock Lane and Milford.



So if you fancy laughing at a few over the hill blokes/coach's etc come down and abuse us

Told at training last night that it's changed now. Still on but only one team coming from Halifax, game kicks off at 1pm.

for a few hours today this morning a dozen or so went down to the stanley rangers ground and helped cut the grass around the pitch, it looks in fine fetal now ready for the opening season,

we are going to use the side of the pitch also for training, the club is intend to do more improvements at a later date

Speaking from the Crigglestone perspective I'm feeling a bit gutted for the lads about this . Last season was a weird one for them really with a few coaching changes over the year . But in all honesty most of the teams in the top division , they have either beaten once , twice or only been beaten by a 2-4 point difference . ( plus I've heard Celtic ain't that good - only what I've heard , don't mean to offend )

I can't see it doing them any good by playing a division below I really can't .

On another topic - I had my touchline manager talk last night but forgot to ask if a liason officer was still needed . Does anyone else know (or would ask)

found it a bit strange myself certainly both crigg and heworth are worthy of the top group,i dont know about dewsbury celtic but from what ive heared they ship in a lot of points,time will tell but on paper both groups 1 and 2 look very strong and it may be a case of mixing and matching over the season with teams trading places.



in group 2 townville,oulton,crigg,heworth and garforth will all be competative given what i saw of them last season and that all you hope for that the games are competative and not run away score lines.
