So, what does SL hold for Wakefield in 2011?



Will we sell many season tickets?

Will attendances see an improvement?

What news on the stadium front will we get? Will work be able to commence next year?

Will JK stay or will he have himself in the shop window all year?

Which players can we sign? Will any sign deals longer than 1 year? And can we attract any quality players or will we have to make do with scraps and short term fixes?

Will we be given a licence?

What mid-season disruptions can we have next time around?

Will we keep Huddersfield below 50 points?

Can we improve on 2010 or will the downward slope continue?



I hate feeling so negative about my club. I've experienced the elation of barely avoiding relegation several times, I've also seen us compete in the playoffs. I've seen us score fantastic victories against all odds and I've seen us hammered by the likes of Leigh. The Super League season I'll liken this to most is 2005, starting so well after our success the year before and then the wheels just fell off. But we were never in real danger of going down, it was just a damp squib of a season with little visible effort at times. With last year's successes after the traumas that had seemingly galvanised the spirit of the club, I think we all felt that this season was going to be another good one. Exigent circumstances tore the wheels off once again and we never recovered. The squad's desire seemed to have dissipated completely. Talented and promising players seem to have lost the plot or be incapable of giving 100%. We look unfit and uninterested. No matter what positive spin is put on the stadium news and no matter how we excuse the latter MONTHS of poor performances this season, the future does look bleak and I do find myself wondering if we can possibly survive when the RFL's axe hangs over a Yorkshire club to make way for Widnes' shiny, already built stadium.



How can this be rectified?



Beats me.

To progress we need to do two things to start with and a third as soon as the time is right



1. Clear out the current coaching staff. JK and Beans cannot get a performance out of the players anymore and their tactics are now seriously outdated. Colin Sanctuary cannot get them suitably conditioned for RL.



2. Get some players in who are going to wear the shirt with pride. Alot of people are looking for some quality signings before renewing their season tickets and I don't blame them, but I would settle for getting some players in who have the heart and desire and basic skills needed to play the game.



3. Ted and Familty to be replaced with someone who can take the club into the new stadium on a positive note and run the club like a professional sports organisation (instead of a less than amateur one).

Now the season is officially over apart from a dead rubber at Salford, the club should announce some of the signings for next year - don't see any point in delaying the annoucements until Sept. I sincerely doubt that we will be signing any players who will be actively involved in the play-off teams, so their clubs not wanting us to announce the signings yet shouldn't be a problem.



Let the fans know the types of player they will be watching next year, instead of blindly expecting them to buy Gold membership after a woeful 2/3 of the current season.

on the topic of looking ahead think all we can luck forward to is defeat after defeat,then to be told where out of sl cos there is no way we will get a ground and a franchise,we are the worst run team in the whole of rugby league

So you're agreeing that Colin Sanctuary is not giving them suitable conditioning for RL.

To answer the OP - we should be relegated in 2012 - we deserve nothing more
