Well, with the mighty TRB on his jollies in Canada it falls to me to give you an update on Newmarket.



A joint meeting of SWAG, Residents For Newmarket and the Club has been scheduled to take place next Wednesday (3rd August). Before you ask, yes, we did arrange this meeting prior to 'today' and always intended to meet to discuss the next steps on Newmarket and bring everyone on to the same page.



It was never envisaged that, whatever the outcome, we would let up on Newmarket. It is the future of professional sport in the city and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, and will deliver first class community sports facilities and jobs to the district. As such, the meeting agenda will probably look exactly as it would have done if the news had gone the other way, with the exception of what will be a much more positive, happy, relaxed and contented bunch of people around the table! This is also why we didn't tell you all about the meeting and agreed to let you know after today, just in case some people read more into than it other being a meeting we always intended to have either way... come on guys, you understand, this is RL Fans!





Following the meeting we will of course issue a full update and suspect that any of you attending the WTST meeting will get an update from Sandal Cat/TRB at their meeting the following evening.

Well, I have an idea to maybe use the current momentum a little... need to run it past the meeting first... watch this space!

Yep, that trumps The Trips for me!

Having just left the party at the club I can confirm that everyone's having a great time.



No ones under any illusion that tomorrow is the start of more hard work delivering everything that's been promised, without exception.



The phones been ringing off the hook with all sorts of good things being offered and finalised and proposed.



Good times ahead for this club and the next four months will be a whirlwind of activity.

To be fair IA I am glad that after all these years - you have now fallen to my years of convincing you to be a Wakey fan as a kid and got those silly ideas of pretending to be a Leeds Fan (You must have got on the 110 the wrong way - perhaps it's because you mum wouldn't allow you to cross the road?)



Well done on all the stadium stuff - All I will say is that I am the probably your oldest known Trinity fan - PS I also lived on the next street and we went to Kingfishers swimming together with your Grandad!!!
