I will upset a few here but do we really want to finish 4th....we do it we go to cas make it easy for them to get to final as we cant live with them so we yet again have to go through getting smashed by them..or saints play them and theres a good chance they dont get to final

I dont care about any other team or who makes the final, but i can't see us making the top 4 now so it's somewhat irrelevant anyway

Perk up Leedscat. We can run them closer than tonight. Got a feeling they will put their feet up now and potentially cost themselves momentum

For 50 minutes tonight we more than matched them and some smarter last tackle plays we'd have posted some more points in that first half. I think we still have a good chance of the top 4 and if it's the Jungle again, so what, we can beat anyone on our day, we just need everyone to be fit and to click for a full 80, then we'd stand a chance.

If we do play case in the semi homework has got to be better cos cas did what they did in the league Webster running straight at Miller or cb their defense is crap

Cannot believe the defeatist attitude of this thread. Finishing fourth on a smaller budget than any other team would be a massive achievement for this club even if we did get thrashed by Cas in the semi. Remember this Cas team are exceptional . Look at their points difference compared to everyone else. Yet we nearly beat them at Belle Vue and lived with them last night for 50 minutes despite missing a key player in Wood and our best defensive centre in Arundel. If we can beat Salford Saints and Wigan we will finish 4th and maybe learn some lessons from last night that will gives us a chance of reaching the final.

Might be a poor attitude but understandable. Just easy pickings for Cas at the moment and I don't think anyone wants to see us get beat by them four times in a season.

I'll take 4th all day every day and if that means going back to Cas and getting beaten, then so be it.

However, it could also mean going back to Cas and then on to Old Trafford !!!



It's always difficult to take defeat, especially at our local rivals but, to suggest that finishing 5th and the season to end, rather than an 80 minute game, which, if you win, takes you into a grand final is just bizarre.



We should also note that 4th would be our best ever finish in SL and IF we can move forward from that, we would become genuine contenders.



4th would be superb and something to celebrate.

We've got a break for the cup to get injuries treated/rested then it's Salford next who we've already beaten home and away in the league this year. There's no reason we can't beat them again and still be sat in 4th going into the September games.

Just posted similar on the other thread. We were in the game until a couple of game changers struck. We were missing a couple & they were at full strength. Ask Kirmond, Fifita & co after watching their efforts last night & I'd suggest they are well up for another crack at them!



And what's with don't wanna lose to Cas 4 times in a season, if that's where we have to go in the semi (if we make it) then bring it on! I'm just glad some on here don't play for us! After the Hudds game the players deserved bagging but not after last night.
