Just back from the chinese and paying closer inspection, not happy with the low draw (5) as according to the stats, there's only been one winner of this race drawn in single figures in the last ten years.





Still, if it is a group horse then we should be able to overcome that hopefully....

At 11 it still looks a bit of value when the favourite is 6. Although the bookies will suspect a punt is about to snowball after Dave's bet...

Had a little bet on Barrie Bates on the darts, winning 5-1 at the moment, surely he's got one more leg in him!





King is starting to play now though, surely he can't win 5 on the trot! Bates is falling to bits, 5-3 now and losing this leg.



Hits the bull with the dart against the wire, he crawls over the line - 6-3. Thought he was losing his composure big style.

5.15 at goodwood tomorrow looks an interesting race, anybody got any fancies?

Mwildcats - it's near enough impossible to win from a low draw over 1m on the round course at Goodwood. If you look at the betting I think the shortest priced horse outside of Ransom Note in the betting is 20/1 whilst the biggest price 7 or 8 horses all have single figure draws.



If you're looking for horses at a mass disadvantage at a price then Spectait has to be on the shortlist from Jonjo O'Neills yard, he won the race in 2006 off 95 and was 2nd in the race last season off 94, he races off a lower mark tomorrow. The draw is a major negative but I'll be having a few quid on each-way at 50/1 (though he'll probably be kippered by the draw in truth).
