Mathers was great in defence
trouble with you lot is you have had Hampson and Radlinski arguably 2 of the best 2 FB's in the game and you judge him by those standards.
He never had a chance with your over critical lot.
and percentages don't always equate to tries Gleeson made more tackles (yes) also made more mistakes which might have been more tries against so your lovely little equation is meaningless |

SO based on comparing Mathers with Gleeson and who got the best deal you now want me to now compare Mathers with Hicks?
One of the points of percentages are they let you compare proportionality of two things that are not necessarily exactly the same. Just because Gleeson make loads more tackles doesn't mean you can't compare what proportion of tackles he misses. By your bizarre logic we could turn it around and say Gleeson saved hundreds of tries more than Mathers because he made that many more tackles.
Which ever way you put it Mathers missed one tackle in every 5 or 6 he made. Glesson missed one tackle for every 14 he made.
Any rational person can see who has the best defence on that statistic. |

a big stadium probably wouldn't have generated all this panic buying.
Personally i think a bigger stadium would have been better
local derby, you guys want revenge for last month, semi final. I think it would have drummed up a bit more interest and got a crowd of 20k
