i like you, used to respect him. i liked him and didn't like the treatment he got from many Wigan fans. i felt they killed him and any chance he had of succeeding.

I reckon your all being a little bit precious. Why do you all think wrestling and slowing the play of the ball down are different things? They are spoiling tactics but the point of any defense is to spoil an attack. Like I said, it's a compliment.

Not really. It insinuates that Wire want to play fast Rugby, when infact, they probably don't, and we do.

Never understood the vitriol aimed at Mather's and a few others over the years. He's a good player, it just didn't work out for him at a team that wasn't working out and some of the most fickle and demanding fans around. I wish him the best in whatever endeavours come his way...

Both sides want to play fast Rugby in attack. Neither want the other side to be able to. Both sides employ 'spoiling tactics' to slow the other side down, thus reducing the likely hood of them scoring.



Richie has merely stated that you have been very good in that area (as backed up by your defensive record so far). Hey, if you want to find an insult in a compliment go for it. Seems little bit like an inferiority complex if you ask me.

You know, I know and everyone with half a brain knows what he meant!

If you want to dress it up as Wiganners have inferioroty complex then go ahead, but if theres one player & one club we certainly don't have an inferiority complex about it's Richie Mathers & Warrington!

They have similar traits, Both have won a trophy recently but no-one really cares, both have the occasional good game but in the main they're Pants, both get a little too cocky for their own good and then end up with Egg on their faces and ultimately when History casts it's shadow over the Game it won't remember either too much!



As for you thinking we have an inferiority complex, to me that suggests Wire fans think they're a better club than us? Along With SLIMply the bests comments last week about us being "Realistic over our support" that looks to me like it's the Wire fans who are getting a bit carried away and arrogant.

We used to be the ones that were called arrogant, but at least we had something to be arrogant about.

These "Spoiling & Delaying Tactics" he's talking about, in Wigan we call it Tackling!

Most fullbacks are prone to odd mistakes. I'm personally quite happy with Mathers at fullback.



I'll also be quite happy if Roberts is the Wigan fullback, in fact I'll be delighted.........as will Lee Briers!!

I wouldn't blame you on last years form. However he's been excellent this year, not sure about fullback though.

Richie is a bit short of cash, he's doing it so he can release a DVD at xmas of his gaffs. It's a double DVD. Feka is also releasing one, documenting his time on the field. Unfortunately that only comes via a 2 minute mobile download.
