None. It wasn't a spear tackle, just a Grade A dangerous throw.

| Charged with a Grade A, will probably get a £300 fine and No ban due to No previous appearences before the disciplinary. Harsh in my opinion but prabably lenient in the eyes of Leeds fans!!
Interesting that Senior could face a ban but Bentham saw it as only a penalty

| Quote Vectrabeast="Vectrabeast"the penalty against O'loughlin when his arm was trapped. '"
Abllet totally conned the ref with that one.
One that you got away with, however, was for a possible voluntary tackle by Stuart Fielden.

Ref called "play on" and Stu rightly did attempt to get to his feet plus it didnt matter as if Fielden is on the floor which he was, it only takes a fingertip to touch him and tackle is deemed complete, it was BENThams mistake calling play on as Fielden was touched when he was on the floor therefore he rightly thought tackle was complete until BENTham called play on, if Fielden had attempted to play the ball he would have been penalised.

So the penalty cannot be given unless they try and play the ball? Fair enough, [size=50I should remeber the small print from the whole Chris Joynt business.[/sizeStu certainly took a bit of convincing to get up though!

I disagree. I thought it was a pretty bad spear tackle to be honest and if a Leeds player had done it we would all be going mad. I can see him getting a 1 or 2 match ban.

If thats as deep as your analysis of a match gets, you're better off avoiding this board.
There is a reason why you scored more points than us and that was our poor disciplibe, particularly at key moments in the game.

| Quote Offside Monkey="Offside Monkey"Its strange because I, similar to Jiffy, felt Wigan were the more deserving team overall and were unlucky to fall victim of a big play in the last minute.
However, Sinfield had an off day with the boot. Most weeks Leeds wouldn't have been trailing as they were throughout that match and wouldn't have needed a last gasp winner.'"
If Sinfield would have kicked the first penalty then Leeds wouldnt have been in the position to get the second penalty, so maybe they'd have been level going into the last few minutes. Only just watching it back now. Just seen Maguire go un-punished for kicking the ball away. Still think home advantage was everything in this match, 50/50 decisions play a huge part in tight games.

| Quote Vectrabeast="Vectrabeast"The biggest decision of the game though in my opinion was to rule a handover from the VR when Tomkins was held up, it was a blatant knock on by Smith that was missed and should have been a scrum to wigan on Leeds 10m line with 6 tackles and this COULD have had a major bearing on the game.'"
Was the advantage not played by Tomkins? had the ref blown with Tomkins ball in hand going for the line I'm sure you would not have been pleased.

It was a bad tackle, exactly the same as what Nick Scrutton was sent of for in 2008, I don't see Coley as a dirty player and I don't think he has much previous so I would expect a warning or 1 game ban.
But comments like
[i"Textbook tackle with the guy being slammed on his back"
"Not wrong with it"
"That's it, lets all pack it it in"[/i
Just look one eyed and stupid
Imagine if Ryan Bailey had done the same thing rlfans would be a burned out hard drive by now.

I doubt he'll get a ban to be honest. In my view, even though the contact was bad, it was accidental. It's exactly the same as an unintentional high shot. He'll just get a warning letter about lashing out in tackles.

I tend to agree, I'm not really having a go at Senior, he did seem to show concern for Joel but you are right it is quite similar in a funny way to a reckless high tackle, not done on purpose but still dangerous and worthy of a ban in some instances.
Not sure of Seniors record though if he has previous Bans they may give him a game.
To be honest the most annoying thing about it was ET (Kear) saying it was fine and he was "just making himself room for the play of the ball" With his legs!!?? Kear went mad last year when Sam caught Cunningham with a flailing leg in a tackle and called for Sam to be banned

My point was clearly that Bentham saw it ONLY as a penalty When anything that is deemed bad enough to be charged with a Grade A offence should at least be worthy of 10 in the bin.
