June 1st 1994. Wigan's greatest ever win. Winning the WCC against Brisbane in their own back yard. A feat never to be repeated by an English club.

all of it...........the low at Cas on a freezing sunday afternoon, followed by the fog at odsal the following friday..........through to the leeds game at headingley.



we fought back from the dead that season.......just getting there , RFL deducted us points........and they still couldnt keep us down

3 games stick in my mind



1985 CC- fantastic game of RL, skill on display and tension to the end. Also made up for the previous year and the journey back home.



1987 Manly - The atmosphere was electric. I was playing rugby the same evening and all I could think of was "I wish this game was over", the build up was awesome.





There was one CC Semi Final at Old Trafford. I can't actually remember who it was against

(Stains I think) and we scored right at the end (was it Goodway or Hanley?). Tbh the surge from the crowd was such that all I knew is that we had scored.



Horrible to lose in a semi, but to win in that way was fantastic.

It was saints. Hanley passed to Goodway with a minute to go.

At Central Park,



Stood under the Popular Stand with 3-4k others watching on a Big Screen (plonked on the centre spot) borrowed from Arsenal FC.

My greatest memories? I'm old enough to remember the glory days at CP but I've never been prouder to be Wigan fan than when the club was desperately battling relegation and the fans rallied behind the team in numbers that hadn't been seen at Wigan in the modern era.



Everyone in RL knows that no other club's fans would have done that. I'm sure we'll win lots more trophies in the years to come but for me I don't think that period of loyalty and support to the club will ever be surpassed. Those are my greatest memories, not of the team, or even the club, but of Wigan fans rallying to an apparently lost cause in massive numbers while the rest of RL looked on in wonder.



I'm sure lots of us will be thinking back to that dark time on Sunday with pride, and with sheer joy at where the club now finds itself. Bring it on!

So true! 2005 and 2006 brought us too many poor results to remember, the way the fans got behind the club was amazing and I don't think it would happen at any other club. Wire were down the bottom and threw season tickets on the pitch. Saints were at the top and attendances still were not as high as ours. Leeds have had one year not winning the league and suddenly a couple of thousand fans are choosing not to go.

It was little things like that which set us apart from the rest.

Do Wigan fans do anything other than pat themselves on the back over their support?





Lets talk about the p!ss poor crowds you got when you were relegated instead.

So many to choose from but last years Grand Final was so so so special - it had been so long and our lad was there for his first final - amazing day and great memories we will all cherish



I feel sick with nervious excitedment for Sunday already; this is such a long long week!!!!
