You ever been fired or disciplined at work? if so can you tell us who for and what it was you did, would just like to know, just so when i see you i can point at dirtbag83 and say "see that guy there, guess what he did?"

Yes this is what I would presume also. Ergo, we should have room to bring in someone if they were to become available. Personally I am none too sure as to whether there is anyone we could bring in.

Meh, I'm quite content with his departure. He came in, did the job and contributed towards winning the Grand Final last season.



Whether this situation would have happened or not, we were in the mindset of replacing Gleeson opposed to building a team round him & it's just happened a year or so sooner than we had planned.



In regards to Gleeson himself, I don't think we've heard the last of him being in the headlines...And I highly doubt that any of them will be Rugby related. The lad needs to sort his life out one way or another.

What on Earth are you talking about? All I'm wondering is where the club goes from here with regards to the cap. Believe it or not I'm interested in the future of the rugby team that I support. I'm not bothered in the slightest by what Gleeson has done to warrant his departure. I'm sure that will all come out in Longy's next book anyway

I'm intrigued by the term "minor" disciplinary offence. The other two reasons stated are no fault of his own so seems quite harsh treatment if only a minor offence especially for such a good player. I fear our loss will be someone else's gain.



Can only assume that he had become a disruptive influence and it was detrimental to the team to have him around. If that is the case then it is the correct decision.



The statement has raised a few more questions which we'll probably never get the answer to but I suppose it's time to move on. I just hope this decision doesn't come back to haunt us.

Good luck to the lad, it must be a weight of his shoulders to get this out in the open, for all his faults he was/is a great player.

I hope he goes to Australia as rumoured. He needs to get away from everything, going to Hull FC with Long and possibly Tim Smith and a coach like Agar who is NOT going to be able to control him/look after him could end up in disaster.

Good player but somehow seems to be a loose cannon off field. More to this than meets the eye but we wont get to hear about it for a long time. I was so glad when he left us for you and just knew this would happen one day and now it has and it did not take long. Better off without him.

One would imagine that Wigan are somewhat downplaying his misdemeanors.
