Didn't know which thread to write this on and didn't want to start a new one but does anyone else think it's a bit weird that Salford have girls aged 6 to 16 as their cheerleaders?

Aye a bit, I understand that they aren't trying to show them as sex symbols but it's bound to send out the wrong message because cheerleaders from other clubs and sports are seen in that way, they weren't exactly covered up either.

IT's a tough area, having a group of kids in a club, dancing and having fun should be applauded. Encourage kids of all ages, the more the merrier. Last year there was a boy in the cheerleading team!

Wigan is a tough area yet our cheer leaders are over 16.

I'll put an end to this ridiculous comment, at Salford we have a cheer leading club called the Red hot flames, we also have younger age groups too the fire starters and the sparklers, the flames are our normal cheerleaders average age of about 18 to 20+ yet they aren't in the country at the moment due to the world championships their competing in, so the women who runs the flames decided to let the the little kiddies have a go, not only is this great for the kids to dance infront of their families at a rugby match but it also gives them experiance for when they grow up and eventually take over from the adults.



Anyone who thinks otherwise are clearly a bit messed up.
