There's another we could talk about, all time world 17. I really wouldn't know where to start though having only watched SL 10 years and hardly any NRL

| Quote Grimmy="Grimmy"Lockers has always given a good account of himself on the international level even in losing sides (not including when he got picked at 6, which was stupid). I didn't see anything from the forwards on the other sides that made me think they were astronomically better than ours, the backs and halves were a world apart though. Didn't Sheen even admit our forwards were on top of theirs after the Aus game?'"
I don't think Lockers is such a silly shout. He is definitely the best British loose forward in the game and without doubt the best loose forward playing in Super League. I don't think there are many loose forwards in the world as good as O'loughlin.

That is an awesome side. The fact that Daley and Fittler are on the bench is a testament to the fact that RL hasn't moved on that much since the late 80s - they'd walk into the current Aussie side. The outstanding centre (and for my money the outstanding player) in world RL is Inglis and while he's a great player, I'd still pick Meninga in his prime ahead of Inglis.

I'm sorry but how do you know what I watch or don't watch? I'm sure this is an opinion based topic isn't it?
Thiaday is a good player but again in a world 13 there are better.
When I look at a World 13 I'm trying to get all the world class players in there. I'd be looking at Shillington, Petro, Graham in the front row meaning I've gotta fit Burgess, Ellis, Gallen or Blair in the back row. All four of them are better than Thiaday IMO.
Would I have Thiaday at Wigan-yes
Would he walk into any club side?-yes
Would I pick him in my World 13-no.
Can't see why that's such a massive problem?

it's not a massive problem, just the way you used the words "far better players out there" when there really isn't. After reading many NRL forums, the general consensus there is that Thaiday is the best second rower in the comp, and after watching him play for Brisbane this year you can see why, some people just need to take off the Sam Burgess specs.
And Blair's a front rower..

Gallen isnt a second rower and for me the English lads arent as good as him as they didnt stand up much when it counted on the big stage did they?

| Your right Gallen isn't a 2nd row he's probably the worlds best 13 which means Burgess, Ellis or Blair have 2 fit into two places.
Thiaday hardly ripped it up for Oz and he's hardly stood up and been counted for the Broncos either.
Both Burgess & Ellis have had better seasons.
