just out of curiosity does nobody else think it would be sensible for wigan and leigh to merge? eventually the attendance would increase maybe not at first because some die hard fans would sour. but they would bring a fair bit to the table they have a stadium that would be good for training, reserve games, academy games and corporate hospitality (no monies going to dave Whelan). We could also play a few games a year at leigh against lesser sides london, huddersfield and catalans as the stadium would be appropriate for the attendance. Leighs youngster would benefit. Orrell could be sold to some property developers giving a good cash injection to the club. leigh fans eventually could be supporting a super league team. it doesn't make sense to have 2 separate clubs . We could be a catalyst as to what actually needs to happen in super league as we know other clubs need to merge. Also i don't just mean wigan to absorb leigh and the brand to remain as wigan warriors. I am sure balmain and wests fans weren't happy at first but they seem alright now.

we are evolving but why not evolve further?
every team has trolls just like we do.
i am sure fans from previous merged clubs said the same, for example west tigers still have a good attendance. |
