For example, Maguire was a far more "Vocal" coach pre & Mid game
Cue the "Well he should be more vociferous & Shout more" comments from the he can do no right brigade! |

Maguire is infinitely better and more accomplished coach than Wane could ever be, different league, Wane owes the majority of his limited success to the way Maguire turned the failing club around. |

Absolutely spot on. When SW coached Wigan U18’s and I was at Salford U18’s we beat them at The Willows, quite handsomely in fact and their changing room was right next door to ours. Our coach at the time Alan Hunte said “Listen to the bollocking these will get now” and we listened and it wasn’t a rollicking, it was an honest chat and reflection.
He has his flaws but tearing his team a new rectum was never his style. |
