| Quote MadDogg="MadDogg"A strangely disappointing 12 and a half k.
Not really sure why the crowd took such a hit from last week, obviously over 2k didn't turn up from last week. You could say maybe people were put off by two consecutive home fixtures at the start of the year in freezing cold temperatures but it would be quite a flimsy excuse.'"
Wish we could get half that gate, the weather was bad and on Sky don't think that would have helped.

| It isn't an easy job to build up crowds. A good win last week but people were sceptical about the opposition. Crusaders have since proved they're no pushovers with a massive win at Salford. Beating Hull K R won't grab the headlines but if we can bury our bogey next week it will be another step towards getting a minimum of 15,000.
And, dare I say it, the demise of the Latics may help.

| I wasn't surprised at the small crowd, to be honest. We're in a recession, and I'd imagine that a lot will have turned out for the first game - simply because it was the first game - and a lot will be up for the ale up at Warrington away next week. Given that the match was also on the box, many will have chosen to miss this one out.
It looks well when it's cheaper to go the pub and have a few pints whilst watching the match than it is to attend the game.

| Was the queue at the East stand ticket office after the game for the Wire game?
If it was then we may need some more tickets afterall. There was alot of people waiting.

wigan people depress me sometimes they really do,wiganers are so tight its a wonder half of them breathe out.
the warriors, the latics, even the cinema on robin park, loads and loads of empty seats

| Doesnt matter how many excuses people come up with, the fact is it was a poor crowd and many of us expected alot better. But if we keep up with the wins the crowds will build.

Its no different in Sydney. Look at Parra fans, they would be lucky to get our crowds (they just got about 10,000 against the Broncos!!!!) yet somehow 40,000 fans wanted tickets to the semi and grand final, and then bitch when they cant get them
