I don’t have any problem with potentially short term signing (has it mentioned how long the deal is anywhere?).



Sounds decent by all accounts and reliable without bleeding us financially dry. Best of all it FINALLY looks like we have a year where we don’t have to release all out up and coming players to get some depth in the squad! Woo hoo!!!

not to put a dampner on things just emailed my mate who lives in Aus said he is poo and its a big mistake. didnt realise he was 29 are we sure he is not just coming for the payday ??

I know he's good defensively, but I just worry about his attacking play.



We haven't seen a good attacking centre at Wigan for a good few years.

Solid defender, quite quick with a very good fend. But he certainly wouldn't get into any of the top teams in SL although that has to be expected with the financial difficulties we have.



The contract is for 2 years which possibly could be 1 year too many. But I'm guessing he needed at least that length of contract for him to agree to the deal. He's centre/wing so he will at least have utility value now and in the future.

hopefully. Just worry about getting players the wrong side of 25 might only be a short contract who knows we will see. sure the future will be even brighter come 2009 !

Not thrilled another steady player, i appreciate we have no money etc etc, not sure if it would have been better leaving it. Much depends on who else was available, the length of the contract, and who the last signing is i guess. Il reserve judgement till then.

I just think sometimes teams other than wigan sign relatively average players that turn out to be good yet we go for the "brand name" so to speak and get left with a hole in our pocket and nothing to show for it.



lets just see ey. I'm just excited we're building a squad for once.

Hardly with the amount of cash we have free to spend.
