Officially three, unofficially semi-final?

That's what I am led to believe.

With Sam, Tuson, Prescott, H and McIlorum all cleared to play I wouldn't risk Lima or Goulding. Give them the week off to freshen up for the semi-final where baring Pat/Leuluai we'll be at nearly full strength.

Iain Thornley was in the 19 last week IIRC (or was certainly warming up before the match with the rest of the team) and I'd like to take a look at him at centre giving Goulding a rest. I'm really not impressed with Gelling, he just keeps on bombing chances & his confidence will be destroyed if he blows a chance for us in the semi-final or god forbid should we make the final itself. Jack Murphy had an impressive debut & doesn't deserve to be dropped but Sam must come back in for me so I'd be tempted to put Murphy on the wing in place of Gelling.



Halfback is a debate in itself. Moving Lockers away from 13 and having Finch at 7 is disruptive & I'd have personally called back Mellor from Widnes with Lockers back to 13, Finch to 6 and Faz on the bench in place of Hughes/Tuson. I think Wane will stick with Lockers/Finchy though.

Lockers at 6 and Finch at 7 isn't working nor will it. He needs Finch at 6, we need a scrum half rapid

With Powell making his come back for the u20's is there a chance he might get thrown in against Wakefield to see how he goes with a view to possible playing him in the semi. Cant be any worse than Lockers/Finch combo

Its all a worry at the moment, it seems like our wheels have fallen off. I hope SW has an ace up his sleeve or Leeds could ruin our wembley plans, which would be an injustice

well at least we should learn from this....make sure you have adequate cover in the pivots in future..........need to make sure that 6 & 7 have back up players that are good enough to play in super league

I wouldn't go as far as to say the wheels have come off, but the oganisation is all over the place. The sides a bit disrupted but we'll be 'reet.

All Finch and lockers did in the last 2 game was get in each others way . Playing SOL ( a world class LF ) out of position weakens the team IMO .

IMHO I think that the big problem is that Sean keeps on forgetting he is not loose forward. The other players should be shouting it at him whenever he is out of position or taking the ball up like a prop.



That way it will keep him focussed and fresh to play his stand off game.



This does mean though, that the other forwards have a real hole to plug and need to step up the defence effort or we will be found wanting.

Move Sam to 6 or 7 and leave Murphy at FB
