Widnes, halifax or Barrow For Superleague.



My thoughts are it will be Widnes, but Will the RFL resist the chance to expand the game further in to cumbria

Widnes and Barrow-in-Furness are both in Lancashire.

Barrow was in Lancashire until it was decided to create Cumbria. A lot of Barrovians (my mum's one of them) still think of it as being in Lancashire though.



I have a feeling they're going to go for Widnes as well, though as a Barrovian I'd love to see Barrow in Superleague, even if my stepfather does call me a traitor for supporting Wigan in the 4th round

Widnes up Wakey down

I expect only one to be promoted and that Widnes will replace Wakefield.



If the RFL were to surprise us all and promote two clubs then I hope they would announce both promoted clubs next thursday to give both an even chance of getting ready for the step up rather than making the second club wait until July to find out.

They have already said only 1 is coming up. It has to be widnes for me too

Going to be Widnes for me. They're better placed to make a go of it than any other side in my opinion. Although I'd really like to see Barrow given a go.

Based on away day atmospheres I'd prefer Halifax to come back in. I've missed going there.



I too think it will be Widnes that gets the nod though.

Widens for Wakefield. Knowing the RFL though they'll probably come up with something daft in the name of expansion like Edinburgh Elves or Norwich Knights.

For the good of the game and its overall image it has to be Widnes.



Just watching NorthWest news the other night, they had a reporter at the Stobart and a fellow at Barrow's ground and the difference was immense.....Widnes have a decent, modern looking stadium, Barrow's looked like something from the dark ages...





If the RFL are looking to make our sport a marketable product, then there would be little sense in getting rid of Wakefield and their dishevelled Belle Vue ground, just to replace them with Barrow and an even more grotty looking ground.
