Where was the loan signing today? whats the point in signing a loan player and then not using him

| The problem with Karl Pryce seems to be in his head. He has the physique but does not seem to want the ball or batter the opponent. He is not a good example to youngsters wanting learn. He must frustrate the manager, he does me.

| Made signs that he was injured with the hands on head before he gave up and went off injured a number of minutes later. Karl Pryce is a real diamond in the rough who sparkles every so often, but can easily look like a worthless stone or 18 and a half. His problem is mentality and there is a reason why he is at one of the weaker super league clubs. Hopefully for mutual benefit we can get more out of him on a consistent basis, in both attack and defence.

| I agree with everything that's been said about his body language. Even in the bar after the game today he looked like he didn't really want to be there. In the tackle when he comes in 2nd/3rd to assist he puts no real effort into it, a few today it was just a token hand on the opponent while everybody else did the wrestling.
If he does come good for us I think he'll be awesome. He needs to buck his ideas up and quick.
Don't know how "injured" he was but seemed to be carrying an ankle knock - bang goes my theory of his suffering from vertigo / altitude sickness and forgetting his tablets !!

Pryce is hardly going to scoot given his size-he should help out with big drives from the PTB. Powell isnt really using scoots this year unlike Mac who used it as his only tool!
Powell seems to want players to work there way into the team. Latus, Calderwood for example and now the Wire player. Who should he have replaced, Burnett or Bailey?
Pryce has the heart of a door mouse

| Just watched his 'defence' for the first Stacul try again on SLTV and it as farcical as it seemed at the time - laughter seemed the only response. Running parallel to the attacker(s) all the way down the field and making sure there is always a gap of about 6 foot can't be easy to achieve! Synchronised rugby?

| Just watched the SLTV thing myself, maybe we could enter a team in the olympics, syncronised rugby league.
A couple of things annoyed me watching that, apart from the butter knife defence
Why with the breakaway try did Dave Howell just stand there and watch the bloke stop in the "in goal" area and pause without grounding the ball, if he is messing about then hit him, look at Blanch, still made the tackle as we were grounding the ball, it may still force an error.
I hace seen a bloke stood in the in goal get picked up and taken over the dead ball line, if yr within touching distance hit the bloke and force him to ground the ball
Why would pryce not scoot? he is a bloody centre, are you saying its a bit far for him to bend down and collect the ball at the play the ball, he is meant to have pace, when you are under pressure in yr red zone, him going in taking a scoot or first reciever and hitting the defensive line is the sort of thing that lifts a team

| I think people need to calm down on the Karl Pryce abuse.
He has 7 tries in 9 Games (4 of which were as a replacement)
Made nearly 700 metres
32 Tackle Busts
6 Clean Breaks
2 Errors
and only 8 missed tackles, thats less than 1 a game.
Just because of his size and build, people are expecting Superman.
Compare his stats to a certain blonde haired Aussie Import who seems to fly under the Radar when it comes to Criticism

You really dont get it do you. The purpose of a scooter is to quickly accelerate past the 2 markers and hit the defensive line behind where the markers are stood(ie hit "optimum" speed early). How fast do you think a 17 stone 6 foot 6 bloke will get to "fast" (optimum speed) from a bent over position?
As I said he would be better taking a pass from the hooker on the advantage line with a 10 metre run up-
Do you now see the difference? There are different types of speed- watch the Olympics next year and see if all the 100 metre runners run the same race!! So in answer to your dismissive comment no I dont think its to far to bend more he wont get going very fast, but for someone who knows nothing about rugby yes its to far to bend
