It is one of the great myths that pervade M62 land, but none of them can tell you exactly what help the RFL have been!

They kept away?

So many in the North keep claiming this financial support the RFL have given us, please tell us how much and show us proof! They never bought us a ground, like they have for one Yorkshire Club.

It's an urban myth. They are probably referring to money used to help the Crusaders as they were folding in 94, however this money was recouped when they sold it the Broncos consortium, as the money used was added onto the sale. I can certainly assure these folk that the club on numerous occasions asked for dispensation to allow for the cost of living in London and were knocked back each time. So when they won't even make any allowances to advance the club at their own cost, then you really are in cuckoo land to think that they give us money. Try asking some previous owners what they were given to help them, like Roy Close, Barry Maranta, Richard Branson and David Hughes. However don't blame me when they rip your head off

Those naughty, naughty northern monkeys ! Can't believe making stuff up about London's finances. Its a pity they don't have anything better to do up in M62 land.

There a two claims that our northern cousins hold on to:



1. London Broncos have received a load of help from the RFL; and

2. The RFL couldn't organise a proverbial drink up in a brewery.



I suppose it could explain our current plight.

The myth also includes Catalans getting lots of assistance from the RFL as well.





If we're both getting all this amazing help and funding, why are we not up in the playoff spots at least?

I agree. I'm a northerner exiled to Woking due to my job. It amazes me how many amature teams there are playing RL in and around the capital. Kids and the amature sport is the way to go here. Lets get people who want to play for London and not just for a pay day boost like most of the signings you guys have made.(Wigan In The CC SF)

Then I think people in London will sit up and take note as they can relate to the guys on the pitch.



A wire fan

We are doing that. Havnt you seen how many of our young players like Dixon have had games? Unfortunately when you play too many, as we've had to do me get smashed as they are not physically fully developed yet - hence our points against total. Two more seasons and that will probably change but most of us know we will not get another one season never mind two.

Spectators will not watch any team getting smashed at home on a regular basis regardless of their being local lads. We have to be competitive and that means getting quality players from Up North or from Down Under. As you are living down here you must have cottoned on as to why they wont move down here for the same money as they can get Up North!?
