The demographic for non-league football is almost exclusively anoraks and coffin dodgers.



I'd cut Kleanthous slack at not marketing that to the masses.

I'm happy with the numbers who come to Barnet games which is why GFs little jibes don't bother me. It's in the top half dozen for the league they are in. 1100 of those who go have bought into the membership scheme and we don't get 1000's of away fans coming through the door (50 away fans on Sat).



As GF says the target audience isnt the same, we represent a town on the edge of London, there are 3 other clubs who originate from London Borough of Barnet and we have to compete with a dozen london league clubs who are higher up the pyramid than us.



Broncos represent a far larger area with far less local competition and it sounds like they are guaranteed a decent number of away fans to most games. Reading this back it sounds like away fans outnumber home fans at every game which is pretty sad.

Can't say I've seen many of those wierdos at Barnet.

I support Barnet because it is where I was born.

Wait till wigan turn up they could easily fill the 5k on their own.

Are these games against top sides popular with home fans? If they are then it sounds like those who tend to pay on the door are going to be disappointed.

I think the Hive should announce these as all ticket now or the only home fans getting in will be the members.

They wont be bringing that many down.

Can't see Wigan bringing many. It is a Saturday which helps but it's sandwiched between St's home and catalan away a couple of weeks before the kids break up. I think the hard core will opt for a weekend in the sun also money is tight this time of year.

No side has ever brought 5000 fans with them. Wigan, Saints, Leeds might bring 800-1000 on a good year.
