Weird thing is, the numerous pie eaters stood near us were having a good laugh and said they miss the banter of us Leythers.

Eddie and Stevo have not got the slightest clue of the banter between fans. They would have said it was 'offensive' when we played the Brookside music against Widnes or the Hovis music against Batley (i think)



Wigginers know we don't 'hate' them, it's a rivalry with a hell of a lot of tongue in cheek between the rugby fans.

of course the main thing to watch out for in future is enunciation





We cannot have the poor one eyed deaf fans mistaking our dulcet tones and making their own lyrics up

(no disrespect to two eyed deaf fans/one eyed hearing fans etc etc)



Perhaps the lyrics can be put on the big screen, and someone can point to them with a big stick pantomime stylee

I seriously hope someone from the club explains to the RFL that the fans were chanting "Pastie" not the other word which some dumb Wigan fans think was sung.



Some of the comments on the Wigan site are hysterical, you would think Wigan was some Californian dreamland the way they slag Leigh and its inhabitants, for every rough street in Leigh Wigan has 5,and don't even start me on the "uglies".





I'm pretty sure it was not Leigh fans chanting the anti-Warrington chants but who cares anyway, it was a very very small % of the crowd and 95% of Leythers just enjoyed the day and as always behaved impeccably.

Well mate i cannot comment as i wasn't there as i had to work, but going of some of the comments it sounds like a lot not saying all was in good humor.

There's no need to get personal is there?

To be honest I have been to loads of internationals and have never heard any anti club songs. The Pie Eaters you talk about were probably frightend to death of showing their contempt for you incase it got out of hand. I have only contempt for all you lot who were singing that crap and if I had my way would ban every single one of you from the ground untill you stopped. This club does not need a hooligan chain around it's neck but that is what you lot sound like. We need to be whiter than white but there is an element that calls itself "loyal fans" that are hell bent on dirtying that image. I think we should remember that this is RL not fuzzball. Have any of you lot ever thought that your behaviour may be keeping people away from our club. Why do something that may have even the slightest chance of causing a confrontation with opposing fans or cause harm to the clubs image. Just think about it when you are all laughing and joking about how good you all are.

Whilst I am with you TV Boy, the south stand at Headingley as given plenty visiting club fans stick at Headingley over the years when I have been for test matches.
