This appointment would always split opinion, I'm sure the BOM would have known that beforehand so I presume they calculated the 'negative' problems that could occur would be outweighed by the 'positives' Mr Barton may bring to the club.

Andy just so you know have seen more boards come and go at Leigh than I care to remember so have reason to be a bit carefully before I give out any accolades

As has been stated before trevor b is like marmite you either love him or........I personally have no axe to grind but would like to say that for the first time for a while I trust this BOM and if they want trevor on board I will (for what its worth)support it.Lets get behind this BOM and team and be the best we can and most of all beLEIGHve

Im sure folk having a go at Trevor wont upset him , its all part and Parcel of being a Figurehead at the Club , as is posting on this Forum , Trevor had to much value for the Club to lose him , I for one am glad to see him back on Board , I don't know Brian Bowman personally , but to sever all Club connections seems a bit over the Top to me .



Just because you don't like or disagree with someone doesn't stop you supporting the Club , Charlie had NO time for Darren Abram , it was Personal

but it didn't stop me supporting the Club , for me Trevor will fit in well with the other BOMs , as they all seem Doers , not Talkers , again welcome back Trevor .

Trevor Barton stepped up when our club was most in need.

He put in many, many hours of his life, under constant stress and pressure, without being paid. He did this for an extended period of time, and only stepped down when the new BOM came along to take up the fight.

Now he is stepping forward again, cash in hand, to help again.

The new BOM have voted unanimously to accept him onto the Board.

For what it's worth, I support this move and Trevor Barton.

I fully support Trevor's appointment on to the board.

I worked on the PSG with him for 18 months and know how much time and effort he put into the club. I know how frustrated he got with so little money available and having to abide by the old BOD. I remember little things like when the club got a free membership of Premier sports he immediately asked the group what he should do with it. He could easily have used it himself. I also know that he put his hand in his own pocket for some printing for the emerging junior centurions and when he went to various events representing the club he bought his own tickets.

I also know that he upset a number of people when he tried to cut back on the wasteful and unnecessary practices that were going on at the club.

I think he will have some positive suggestions for the club to use.Well done to the BOM

brian bowman will be missed at this club,he and tommy sale have done more for this club than anyone.
