The problem on message boards like these is that its really hard for people from a club to post on them and be totally transparent. Take the Sam Barlow affair that was handled by a denial that later turned out not to be true which kind of goes against this whole transparency thing.



There is a very fine line but I do think its a good idea having someone from a club posting on here.

Was this topic about 'Brierley to London'? This is a regular irritant of this forum, it isn't tidied up. Topics get diverted by personal agendas usually telling us how good/bad we are doing, all stuff we have heard before.

I replied to a post by frank/salfordlad about London Bronco's failure to build their club, thats all, I follow what they do and dont do, as I also look at most clubs



I did not mention free or discounted tickets



I did not bring movie/cinema marketing into the discussion



I did not introduce club directors opinions into the discussion



I did not introduce club directors or their businesses into the discussion



The ' paranioa ' on this board is getting ridiculous

As far as I'm concerned, there's nowt wrong with you voicing opinions, or anyone else for that matter. That's not to say your opinions are right. I've voiced mine, but that's not to say mine are right either. Even Frank's opinions don't always match mine!

Firstly I totally agree with Advocatus's post.

Winning and winning well is the only way we will fill the LSV with paying fans.

Second I agree with Lynda this is a fans forum and I also think it gets a bit boring at this time of year. Not saying it's always boring but the best and most interesting posts are when we have been playing. At the moment we are all like kids who can't wait for Christmas.

Thirdly I don't think that there is one fan who comes on here that denies the fact that the current BOM are doing a fantastic job but for a director to say that this forum has had a detrimental effect on the success of this club is totally wrong and a gaff in my opinion.

Third. Starbug, instead of going all around the houses say exactly what your marketing of a game would be to get people in.

Fourth. When a thread has gone so far off topic I think the mods should put a stop to it. As Reffy said this was about Ryan going to London.

Those are just my opinions and I hope I am allowed them. Without being a thorn in the side of the club I love.

.As for opinions and posts on this Forum we all are entitled to have our say ,from Footsoldier to Club Official ,personally I try not to get involved with the Politics of Rugby or sorting out what the Club should be doing or not doing ,I leave that to the BOM ,and agree they are doing a very good job .



If I can help in any way , im always ready to do so , but as most on here I prefer to watch the game every week and give my opinions on the Performance ,whether they be right or wrong .The new season is a couple of weeks away , and I cant wait , I will buy my season ticket very soon , and enjoy the coming season , home and away .

This is a MB and in my opinion every ones opinion is welcome, it would help if it was accurate, truthful and constructive but I have seen Elvis over Christmas and I was told he had died??

My main purpose of posting on here for me is to give the loyal fans of the club (lets not forget I am also a fan first and foremost and will always be a fan even if not involved with the club in the future) truth, honesty and facts and to keep at bay untruths, dishonesty and non factual information.



Many people have worked hard for many years at the club to try and produce the goods and this forum at times has been a breeding ground of negativity and lies and while not many people actually post here many people read it not just our own fans but fans of other clubs and even people at the RFL.



Everyone's entitled to an opinion even me and that's mine and its shared by people new and old. If its a gaff or im wrong well so be it.



When you type into Google Leigh Centurions this website is in the top two or three hits, taking away the emotion and putting a business head on can you honestly say if you were looking to grow this business and attract people to our great club you would like them to have stumbled across some of the nonsense that's been put on here in the past??



I've read these pages for many years and some of the stuff I used to read actually put me off putting myself forward and money up and sponsoring the club or offering to get involved in any official capacity, I wonder how many others feel or have felt the same??



Going back to marketing not specifically aimed at Steve we haven't overnight been able to enlist a army of volunteers or staff and haven't got a big bag of money either so its not as much ideas were looking for but people willing to come and put their hand up to actually do something. Like the other thread on posters, yes we have posters yes wed like to see a poster in every place in Leigh but it takes resources which are still as yet thin on the ground.



People seem to be too busy to offer help but always have the time to jump behind a keyboard and critise.



Anyway back on topic Ryan's going nowhere and Leigh Centurions are in the best shape I can remember for many years so onwards and upwards.

This post is still meandering on still off topic, when I made my last post some posters came over all precious and missed the point. This topic is about Brierley, it is not about marketing, advertising, attracting fans ,how good the board is etc. The forum needs tidying up, you should be able to read a topic heading and know what you are getting...... at the moment the same boring conversations are intruding regularly.

There were new moderators selected a few months back, why don't they do their jobs?
