| We have a regular fan who lives in Middleton who follows this team home and away. He sometimes catches the same bus as me towards Butts Bridge.
A couple of years ago He missed 60 mins of a game that we changed a pre planned KO for as A) He did not have the inter web and B) He does not get the Journal round his way
If I see him on Thursday I shall advise him that we are again meddling with the KO times so he does not miss the match as I suspect He (like I was) will still be expecting a 3pm KO.
So why have we suddenly changed the KO time from 3pm on the official site ?

| Quote Leigh24.7="Leigh24.7"Well if it is a 2pm KO then it's about time the club took a massive look at themselves for not getting the crowds we wish for and stop begging for money from the faithful fans. Why move from a 3pm KO (ok I know it's not Sunday) - if it's going to clash with a MU v Chelsea game?
They've not a clue

Without being overly critical , I couldn't agree more.

| what we have to consider here is Workington travelling, if it was a 12 o clock Ko they would have to set off on a Bank Holiday Monday about 7am to make sure of arriving in time for their preparation to play us. Even with a 2pm KO its still an early start

Maybe it was set up incorrectly, when the website was set up? As I said earlier, I always thought it was 2 p.m.

The clash is unfortunate, but how long has the date/time of the football match been known? I would suspect that 2 p.m. was agreed to give Workington a chance to travel to us, very soon after the RL fixtures were announced.

No one considers us when we have to travel to Haven on a Thursday night. If they know when the kick off time is expecting(oh wait!)

But wouldn't it be 3pm had the game been on any Sunday during the season? Never been 2pm before.
And why can't it be changed 2 weeks before? It's not a date change.
To the club: Please don't come telling us you need a few hundred more fans or else we will go under. You must do YOUR bit or else we go under - we are doing ours! (Saturday evenings for example - try it....)

| Chelsea v United 12.30pm finish approx 2.15 if no extra time. 3.00 pm ko at LSV would maximise attendance.
3.30 ko would also cater for extra time. Simple if you are not running the club whilst wearing blinkers and are oblivious to alternate attractions.

| I must admit that a 2pm kick off a week on Monday is also news to me.
Surely the club will restore it to 3pm. With it being a bank holiday we may pull in a few additional fans after the FA Cup match has finished from people wishing to make it 'a full Easter Monday of sport'
IMO If the BOD are unable to recognise an affect on our attendance from a big live terrestial TV clash featuring Man United v Chelsea, then it really does not fill me with any confidence that they have the creativity, the vision and any forward planning to be able to tackle the attendance issue head on.

| This is a joke! The way this club is being run and managed is it any wonder we are in the mess we are in.
I am sorry but if supporters and LISA keep pumping money into the club when TB gets his begging bowl out the board will keep making idiotic decisions like expleted in this thread, and the ones that got us in the mess in the first place!
As a club we need to get more professional to attract more fans for the benifit of Leigh Centurions. We cannot carry on thinking about other clubs and what they want. To maximise the attendance/revenue this game should be played at 3.00pm as orginally advertised.
Its no use one week asking for money from hard working fans and LISA then less than three weeks later do something like this.
I heard TB say he wanted to give players a weekend off, we changed the game against Sheffield to Friday because they did it to us and now this disaster, is it any wonder why we have lost so many fans, it goes from bad to worse.
This club has to be run as a professional organisation, as a business and to give its members ie supporters the best match day experience at the appropriate times.
I am sorry but like a lot of other fans I will be watching MUFC and if Leigh kick off at 2.00pm then I wont be going and I never miss a Leigh game. I have not bought a season ticket this year because of what happened last year with the Friday night fiasco and because I knew things like this would happen this season.
I was, along with my partner considering re joining LISA as we also came out of that last year. After this we certainly wont be because I feel it allows the club to continue making decisions like this, losing even more money like they will with the Workington game.
I am under no pretence if this carrys on the club will be back again in a month or two asking for the bank balance of LISA again!
Sorry I know a lot of people wont like this but its my opinion about a club I love dearly but never listens to its fans!
