I know the score may look like we defended well but if a good few of the Donny passes hadn't been forward or knocked on we would have lost yesterday. Our sliding defence is shocking and with teams who have pace out wide we will come a cropper. We are very lazy both moving up and getting across. I know a wins a win but this team are better than that performance. I thought either Simon or Stu were MOM. Young Ryan Duffy had a good run out for his first full first team game. Castle should have gone to the bin yesterday for his consistent high shots and the one on Duffy was disgracefull. Ryan just shrugged his shoulders though. I think young Mr Duffy will become a favourite at Leigh in years to come.

Tony , Donny are not a bad team , but i think if some of our passes close to the line had stuck we could have had another 20 points on the board , as you say , a wins a win , we havent hit top gear yet , when we do

the Dry pitches will help us , i agree about Duffy , he had a good game and worked hard .

Agree with most of that apart from the fact Dons could not have won.



I think we will go better when Coyle is back at scrum half. Like everyone else I rate Ryan Brierley but he isn't a scrum half and seems to me to be better used coming on late to run at tired defences.



Stokes is a bit pedantic but he was the same for both sides.



Did Riddy go off because he received a knock or did PR substitute him for another reason ?

Riddy been poor so far this season, needs to catch and pass, overthinking his options putting Himself and the team under pressure

The pitch looked very bone dry to me the grass looked like it was parched & could of done with a good watering. I don't think summer rugby will make that much of a difference performance wise we seem to play well in muddy conditions IMO & we're a pretty slow side Brierley,Pownhall & Higson apart.

Think you have to remember regarding brierly is that when hes on for the full 80, he cant use all his energy in the first 20 mins. Just because he didnt score 3 100 metre tries doesnt mean he didnt play well. It was a very mature performance from him yesterday, he made his tackles and picked his moments in attack well, had a hand in a few of the tries. I thought doncaster were really good 1st 30 mins or so but couldnt live with us after that. Well done to ryan duffy aswell thought he was really good!

Can i just say that i enjoyed the day yesterday, most of us would have been happy for a BP but it was not to be. We are new into this league and will take us some time to get upto the pace in the Championship.

Enjoyed the chats with your fans in the Legends bar, but what put a damper on the day was a small few Leigh fans singing "ACE OF SPADES" when Dennis Tuffour had the ball near the end of the game(Mindless uneducated morons) This was reported to a steward but because our bus was leaving straight after the game we could not give a statement. I had to laugh on the way out one of the Leigh fans said to a Donny fan "whats it like to play in a stadium" i doubt he has ventured to the Keepmoat then. Good luck for the rest of the season apart from at the Keepmoat.
