Depending on what you can offer/do for the club. what can you do to help?



To be honest the club wont turn away anyone willing to help doing anything.

I was a big fan of Parky in his hey day but at the end of the day it's down to one thing, the person in the suit. The costume is irrelevant.

People miss the point re having a mascot, it's a focal point for the kids and a marketing tool something other clubs do quite well and we have never utilised, entertaining the fans at games is an aside an important one I grant but the marketing that could be done is something I see our new director John Roddy making use of to the full, we didn't do it last time with Parky or with Artie but we must not miss the boat this time.

Last time out I felt that Parky had run his course only because he wasn't fully utilised and at that time a fresh approach was needed, now we have a load of young fans who may never had seen The Original Parky so again use him or lose him.

We might have had a chance with our mascot had the thieving pie eaters not employed the roman centurion as their mascot. When that happened our teams mascot was doomed. I still think that it was done on purpose. Why could they not have done something like Thor or Connan, or even a native american. No they took a roman centurion. There is no way that the people of Leyth will accept a mascot that is simiilar to the pie one. Silly but thats how it is. Anyway I have really felt for all the Arty's as they really have been flogging a dead horse.

Arty will still be used as the Community Dept paid for him so I suspect they will use him in schools etc.

Hope he is back for some games. My little lad had jsut started warming to Arty havin his pictures taken with him shouting him all first half on Sunday. He saw him go down and get stretchered off he was heart broken these mascots mean alot to young ones.

Hope we find some 'crazy fool' to do parky at home and away games
