Fred,I know his will kick off contraversy but I listened to the game on your local radio and it was obvious from the commentary that the referee was totally inept and and almost biased against the Leigh team (I'm trying to avoid the word ch****ng)



But,a great saying in sport is 'what goes around,comes around'



Last seasons game against Limoux was the same with the ref (from Leigh) being so biased against Limoux who were clearly the better team totally beaten by an incompetant refereeing performance.

Some of the calls were so obviously wrong and it was absolutely criminal that the refereeing bias toward Leigh wasn't punished by the authorities.Limoux deserved the win but were ch****d out of it by a ref who was never going to let the home side win.



FWIW - Every time Mr Child has been down to Perpignan he has had a terrible game - his decisions have been mindboggling at times,especially his apparent bias [uagainst[/u the Catalans.He's the only ref not welcome at Perpignan.

Actually watching the replay on DVD last night (several times) it wasn't a knock on it was palmed forward by a Catalan hand, perhaps thats why it wasn't mentioned, I do believe Specsavers is quite cheap.

Yes - definately worse than Hicks. I've seen some pretty awful refs in my 65 years of watching Leigh, and he must be the worst ref. I've ever seen. And to think they will allow him to carry on. He should be demoted to running the line for the rest of the season so that he can learn from refs who are ten or more classes above him!

Two seasons ago on a wet midweek February night at Post Office Road Mr Childs gave THE most biased and outrageous refereeing performance i have seen in 23 years off watching Leigh, he has a problem with us that i assume goes back to Dewsbury being our big rivals, we didn't lose because off him but he helped a great deal.

I feel for you guys because we have had to put up with his poor displays for a while now. I agree heis the worst ref on the circuit and seems to think the game is all about him, when will the rfl finally do something about it????

The most important position a ref should keep at the play of the ball is make sure the defence is square and onside. Cstalan Dragons were neither onside or square I would say 60% of that game. Very poor officiating if you ask me. And I agree with the rest who say that there was an agenda against us going through.
