| I don't think Miners are to happy about John Taylor leaving either.. But with John having played around 20 of his 21 seasons* down at Leigh East, it can't of come as that much of a surprise.
*He started at U7's and is only 28 |

cant say any of this surprises me that players are leaving the miners, was predicted when the coach was appointed. Obviously something needs looking at in the way things are run at miners to solve why people are leaving.
Still dont think we can be written off just yet. Scott is a good lad and will work. The rest that have left used to be east lads anyway so you always get people going and coming back, they have produced winning sides without them so hopefully can do it again.
Should make for an interesting season!

Mike Whiteside is staying at the Miners for one more season - after that even he doesn't know where he's headed.
Troubling times for us Miners if our star players are willing to leave (Ecky, Jonte, Scott O'Brian) and I know of another 2/3 who are mulling over it.

I agree with you there - everyone want's to finish off where it all started, even myself, even though I love playing at the Miner's when the time's right for me, I'll head back down my 'roots'.
But having said that the first team coach at Miner's isn't strongly liked by some players - that's not saying he is disliked but some would prefer another coach.
I too hope both Leigh team's are challenging for the NCL Title - imagine East V Miners Final....  |
