 Sounds good to me Frank.

When we go to Wembley we and few thousand others just take a few cans with us to drink outside the stadium, no one bothers, (well PL bothers the Police women but thats usually after the game).
Why don't we wait until we know its definitely going to be nice, and arrange our own picnic, show them the way to go, then maybe they'll look into tents etc.

| Think its a Great idea, and I think Matt we discussed this very topic in one of the forum meetings that we had many years ago. Fanzones can incorporate many things from bouncy castles, small fairground rides and stalls, meet and greets and even live entertainment. I remember going to Batley one summers day a few seasons ago and they had a singer on on the big area at the back. Barrow have done similar big band pre match entertainment and that went down well during the summer.
Anything that preludes and prolongs the big match experience can only help.

| Like i've banged on about loads of times before, the RL club is the biggest and most famous thing in Leigh, it draws more attention and people than anything else. So with this responsibility and power it should use it's profile to help local groups.
Just like the cheerleaders that were allowed on the pitch, then told to clear off, get them back ASAP. Local bands, dance groups, singers, shops, even chefs setting up BBQs, local businesses should be a hell of a lot closer to the club and if a 'fanzone' event had 'pitches' where someone could set up on a matchday with the safety of ground staff and definate trade from rugby fans it should be encouraged.

| I think the tailgating idea is one to look at but in this day and age of H&S they would probably put stop to it after the first time it happened.

Why have it on concrete in a restricted space near a road when you can host it round the corner on grass? Or at least have the kids activities on the grass? Maybe RL skills sessions etc as well?

| I also think Matt has the right idea regards having the event on grass that way tents and bouncy castle can be lashed/pegged down easily, we all know how windy its been recently!
