You would think so wouldn't you ?. But then again we are trying to tempt people to use our facilities rather than stay at home. We all know the good folk of Leigh will or can use the weakest of reasons or excuses not to attend . Now one argument could be that to make a fan choose between their footy team or their local RL team could be an expensive gamble when you may actually be in a position to give them both whilst increasing the footfall / custom in the bar. Then again one could also argue that the expense of Sky & the like for a bar would eat too much into any potential profits you could make. Personally i'm not that fussed about a game of footy on tv, but plenty of landlords use it as bait don't they?.

I struggle to comprehend some posts sometimes.

We have a home to meet, chat, have banter and a beer at long last. We have a great of the club providing his time to officially open the new look bar, we have a compare, a quiz and players being interviewed and somebody wants the footie on



I can see it now, ''Hey Mick can you be quiet there's a throw in for Utd''



To the rest bring your friends and family and join in the fun without the footie on - you will be able to talk instead, we are not trying to mimmick a boozer we are trying to create a friendly environment for our fans to feel part of the club, some will prefer a pub but that's choice. Get the players to sign shirts, have your photo taken and have a chat with them.

I am sure the Legends Bar will be full of RL supporters who can manage without the football.

The Centurion will be full of people watching the footy and then they'll leave at 2.50 to come down to the ground . I'd rather see people using our bar, and whether you like it or not people like myself Leythers Matt like both Football and Rugby.

If I have to choose I. Always choose rugby but if you can watch both ie the early game Sunday and then watch the rugby match what's wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with that but don't expect the Legends Bar to go to the expense of providing Sky football to satisfy a few and inconvenience a lot.

Already had a half decent atmosphere in th bar last time I went in. Showing old Leigh games on the TV and the the quiz. A few more tables and chairs outside in the summer and it'll bi reet. One of them electric extending awnings the fulllength of the bar in case it rains fot smookers. Job done. Went it a restaurant in Florida and sat outside. It started raining and the waiter said "don't worry sir". Pressed a button and a roof was over us in no time and from nowhere. It was about 60ft long and about 10ft wide.

The Wren doesn't have TVs so fans wanting to watch footy can't go in there.
