Alstead is a must for me.



I've got no qualms about him getting fit. He had surgery last pre season and in my opinion was rushed back before he was ready due to our terrible form and lack of cover.



Since then he's had a couple of niggles which always happens when guys come back from surgery. With pre season under his belt he'll be awesome next season.

Not only did dave have surgery in the pre-season, he also had to recover from the injuries he received in the Whitehaven play-off game. I would love to see Dave remain at Leigh. In my opinion he is a committed, solid player who always gives 100%, and I always feel more confident of a Leigh win when he is playing. Dave knows where the try line is, and is not afraid to face up to the opposition.

His try at home against Widnes was worth a contract on its own. One of the best of the season. (Not hard this season I know

would sooner have a half fit alstead than a fully fit stewart or madden couldnt belive it when stewart was a sub on satuday and durbin had played in the reserves!!

I thought we'd seen the last of Stewart, he did nowt wrong tho.

He wasn't really on the pitch long enough to do much wrong - thank god!!

Back on track - I cannot see why such a professional and dedicated player like Dave Alstead should not be given a contract. If it is a fitness issue then give him a thorough medical and take the experts advice

I'd defo give Alstead another year at least, i think the club owe him that much on his day easily when fit the best player Leigh have, very strong, powerful and fast. a fit Alstead will be a real asset for next year

I hope it is just seeing how his fitness is etc. Signing him up is a no brainer otherwise.

Would be a shame to lose such a great servant to this club to one of our rivals.
