Its not really possible to do most of the things you'd like doing at the lsv were as at fev its so easy to do.

Where did I say "I would like" these at LSV?

I don't think we'll get P&R, I think SL brought in twinning to make sure they could scupper any promotion for any club that was twinned, and the intention of twinning is to destroy any club that hasn't, the RFL at its usual tricks, they really do seem determined to wipe the game out.

Were would you like them then? and if you dont want to do what fev are doing WTF are you going about it for?

It is something myself and my pal Arthur have commented on a lot recently. Where in the stadium is all our junior fans, where are the incentives for families and youngsters, the new wave that will drive our club forward in future?



The fact is that there is a very healthy number of youngsters still very much interested in RL in Leigh.



The problem is that we as a club have been missing from the top party for a long time and equally the club have ignored them for a long time, failing to recognise their importance as a group.



Instead , the town's youngsters now all have a favourite Super League club.

I think you and your mate Arthur are right and if this club is ever to increase its support base substantially then i think at some point someone is going to have to bite the bullet and open the door to kids free of charge.

Have I dreamt this, or did they used to have kids fair rides etc in front of the West Stand a couple of years ago?

Yea i think they did,shame they didn't keep it up if they could afford it.

Probably not possible in this day and age, but it would be good if during the summer the corners were used as some kind of play area for kids during the game, as a way of getting them through the turnstiles. Hopefully as they get older they will by then be used to going to the LSV every Sunday and picked up an interest in the club too.

Its all H&S isn't it so as you say its unlikely to happen.

We all agree we need hundreds more youngsters coming through the turnstiles, but the club is losing money, so how do they.No matter how many ideas we come up with, in one way or another they all cost money.

You've got to speculate to accumulate as they say, but easier said than done. I think the key to success is becoming a fundamental pillar of the community through working with schools etc, I understand work is already being done in this area so hopefully the results will follow in time.

Fevs ground is a dump it's like a living museum to bring that place up to scratch they are better off knocking it down and rebuilding it...Apart from that they have a good set up great team ect but the place looks like it saw better days in the 1950's

The ground is far from a dump, it is very tidy new toilet blocks all over the place no s troughs like at some super league grounds near us, new frontage and turnstyles, new gym for the players, wrestle room, new viewing lounge for vips, 2 very tidy stands, and 2 more to go up and despite being 2nd hand they will look new when up, loads of new vip boxes, new classroom, new disabled cafe and office space under the new stand, it is far from a dump and will be fit for purpose in 12 months time. i went to my 1st league game last week and i noticed a buzz about the place that i havent experienced for a good few years and the crowd with only a handful of barrow fans was excellent. I now firmly believe we will in the not too distant future be in the top flight
