Wakefield were poor and still won. Tim Smith had an off day and usually dictates how well we play. With a stronger officiating team Leigh would have had 12 men and possibly 11 for another 10 as well. Next game they could be missing a couple so could get turned over in their next game.

I really wanted Leigh to win.

It's alright scoring great tries, but if you can't see the value of getting in front with a drop goal before Wakey did, then it's a bit poor.

And that is not hindsight by the way ... I thought that at the time.

I was also surprised we didn't go for a drop goal towards the end of the match at the time but i also thought Wakefield looked dead on thier feet and wonderd if the lads had seen that and decided to push for a try especially after going for goal v KR and how that game panned out, i did think we looked the better team apart from the knee to the head

We go 16-6 up with a few minutes to HT then turn the ball over after 2 tackles to invite them back in the game.

After all said and done and after seeing the Sky clip. We should have been playing with 12 men for most of the game.

For me, not taking advantage of the sin bin & 10 minute advantage was criminal.

Handling errors were the killer, losing possession after 2 or 3 tackles.



I now firmly believe that PR has to look at striking a better balance between the expansive & occasionally crazy play & completing sets & laying a platform to win.



Still, I for one have really loved these last 2 or 3 years & I won't be to disheartened if SL has to wait another year, maybe two, as long as the Club continues to build & bring new fans to the fold we will be just fine.



It's easy to lose sight of what we have, enjoy it guys, it's not that long ago I was throwing a £10 note in a bucket on the North Stand to help pay the players wages.
