you could have an official Leigh Centurions App - a fiver to download and you get free radio commentary from it as well as other things like squad pictures, stats, team news, LISA news etc.

Thats another great idea. I use to listen to commentary on my little Fm/Mw radio at games in the olden days. Makes for some interesting viewing when you have commentary when your also watching live

It's internet commentary we can't afford a radio licence unfortunately, but did you know the LSV has a facility for listening to the game if your blind/limited eyesight?

I just want to make one thing clear. This is not about making money for Leighlife, it's about offering a service to the club and it's fans and hopefully help towards generating some income for the club.



We have had this radio on Leighlife for a couple of years and have offered help in the past but no one at the club was ever interested before so the radio was basically just switched off. All the technology is already there, it's just the memory space that needs paying for and hopefully we will be able to find a way of doing this.



Luckily for us, the season is over so we have a good few months to come up with something.

We also offered the service to local bands, scriptwriting groups etc where they could do a recording (or do it live if they were brave enough) and we'd play it for them but we never really got a response so switched the radio off.

I have to say that, having volunteered to run a Communications project, I couldn't believe my luck, when you good folk at LeighLife turned up. You have opened up all sorts of exciting possibilities to project the name, product and brand of the Centurions.



Just so long as you don't all keep talking 'tech-speak' to me - you must have realised what effect that has on me?!

Wouldn't dream of asking a woman to brew up. Trevor did say, last night, if it had been a woman doing the presentation, she wouldn't have needed someone to project the slides while she was talking! However, even a woman would have struggled with doing the slides, talking and holding the flipping plug in at the same time!



I think you may well be the first woman to join a PSG group!

Love the LeighLife initiative. While we as supporters can all view it there is the added bonus that it's not just preeching to the converted which is something the club has been guilty of over the years.



I finally feel that the club has realised it has to change, be more open and accept that the fans are more than just people who stand on the terraces. We are in essence the lifeblood of this club and together we can help make it bigger and stronger.

Whilst looking further afield for new fans, it is very important that we still 'preach to the converted' too. As a fan, I've been saying for ages that we must be communicated with. (and look where I've ended up now!

) It may sound 'corny' but Trevor's view of the fans as 'shareholders' is like a breath of fresh air.

A ' Census ' carried out at a match early next season to give us the necessary information and contact details of our existing fan base is a necessity IMO
