Can't see anyone going undefeated so 20/1 is miserly.

If my calculations are correct, should you place a bet for Leigh to win outright at a miserly 1/3, then place your returns on the next game at the same odds, and so on over the 23 championship games, you would come out of the other end with effective odds of around 745/1 should we go the season unbeaten.



Even with variation in the odds, you'd still be seeing much bigger returns than 20/1.

Pessimism and optimism are parallel , they go together to achieve an unbeaten record would be extremely hard and knowing the fixture system which is fair to be honest pessimism is not looking good , therefore I think we look on the unbeaten record with optimism.

For what it's worth, even if the current Wigan side, on full SL money and cap, were parachuted into the championship, I wouldn't take them at 20/1.

I think the league is too strong for anyone to go undefeated this year, think there'll be a few upsets for everyone. I think that'll be to our advantage though, knowing the opposition & the grounds better will mean we'll suffer less upset defeats than Bradford & so we'll finish above them and top.

Nice idea but a lot of games will see Leigh at shorter odds than 1/3 to win a game outright.
